AutoCAD’s format for storing drawing information is called DXF.
The System Parameter Toolbox was a reference tool for showing properties of various AutoCAD tools and settings. This was replaced by View/Parameter Windows.
There was a tool called the Clipboard Manager, which stored layers of drawings that were cut and pasted from one drawing to another. This was replaced by Edit/Clipboard and Import/Clipboard.
After the acquisition by Autodesk, the company turned Autodesk into a fully integrated software company. One of the first changes made was to move the whole source code of the software to a remote server.
