AutoCAD History
AutoCAD was originally developed to serve the needs of architectural and engineering firms. It was designed from the start with a goal of being quick and efficient to use. AutoCAD was built from the ground up to be a solid and very stable product.
AutoCAD has evolved over the years from its basic starting point of a small line drawing application to the multi-billion dollar, multi-platform design software we know today. It was the first leading-edge CAD application to be widely distributed on personal computers, with the release of AutoCAD 2.0 in 1986.
AutoCAD v4 was the first version of AutoCAD to support Windows PCs. Until that time, AutoCAD had been available only on the PC platform of the time. A year earlier, AutoCAD v3 for DOS had been the first version of the program to be released for the IBM PC platform. With AutoCAD v4, Microsoft Windows was supported.

For the first time in a CAD application, users could work within the AutoCAD program window, not at a separate graphics terminal as with the earlier versions of the program. At the time, the Windows operating system had the familiar GUI (graphical user interface) which offered simple and clear menus to select and manipulate features within a program.
There were other important new features in AutoCAD v4, such as the ability to interactively build up and edit more than one drawing at a time. In previous AutoCAD versions, it was necessary to save a drawing and then make a new drawing before beginning editing. With the new version, you could start editing a drawing while it is open in the program window.
You could build up an assembly drawing and edit it in one window, for example, or you could build up two or more assemblies within a single drawing, as required. To interactively assemble and edit drawings, users now needed to use a mouse pointer, rather than a pointing device such as a trackball. Previously, users had needed to select a drawing or the current editing command from a tool bar or pull-down menus.
The first AutoCAD version included a QuickCAD extension, a feature that provided command-line access for editing drawings using Windows or DOS command-line commands (executable files).
Other new features included a Text Editor to edit text and captions, an Importer to import external
B.1.2: Graphic Processor Unit (GPU) and embedded processing on mobile platforms
A number of vendors use GPUs as coprocessors to accelerate CAD/CAM on various embedded platforms including laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Such GPUs may be used in some AutoCAD native applications including 3D and Visual LISP but they have not been a principal requirement for AutoCAD in general. The technology is used more extensively in mobile CAD applications which are gaining in popularity.
B.1.3: Automatic generation of coordinate system information
Some more advanced applications use automatic generation of coordinate system information from AutoCAD drawings, saving the user the task of having to manually edit the coordinates. Such applications generate a number of geometry based coordinate systems, including XYZ, RAS, DTM, 3D UDL and Perspective
History
AutoCAD 2000 introduced several new features including:
DYNASTY, a family of geometric modeling tools, including Geometry View, Routing, Feature Link, Surface, Generalized Triangulation, Dummy Transformation and Drawing Creation
Single Window which allowed users to launch a single application from any place in the system
DirectDraw and DirectDraw Direct3D graphics APIs and hardware acceleration for user interface
Multibody was added. It allows 3D models to be linked together, to show the entire system based on a 3D model. Multibody is in the 3D Warehouse.
Enhanced modeler can edit models with a laser pointer, which reduces the risk of accidentally hitting the drawing area of other modelers in a multi-user model environment
ArcGIS integration
Cross platform support, including for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android
Support for new AutoLISP syntax and API calls
AutoCAD 1999 introduced the following new features:
Generalized Triangulation is a model composed of a set of triangles and arcs that can then be subdivided into smaller triangles and arcs
The drawing editor has significantly improved interaction.
User commands can be used to generate options for a command
Cross Platform Development Package (XPDP) tools and libraries allow applications to be developed for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms
AutoCAD 98 introduced the following new features:
Graphical command line (GCLI)
Vectorization, which automatically generated specifications for creating lines, arcs, and polylines
A DIB (Device Independent Bitmap) version of AutoCAD
AutoCAD 95

Q:
Why is the var keyword necessary when using getters and setters in object literal?
I understand var keyword in the constructor.
But what is it’s use in setters and getters?
var myObj = {
foo: null,
get foo(){
return this.foo;
}
}
A:
The var keyword here is needed in order for the syntax to work properly.
If you don’t use it, you get:
ReferenceError: foo is not defined
It’s used to declare variable as let, which doesn’t affect the behaviour of the code, because it’s simply syntactic sugar.
You can use it in any of the following ways:
let bar = {
get foo(){
return this.foo;
}
};
… or
var bar = {
get foo(){
return this.foo;
}
};
Q:
How to install the python3 script without requirement of python3?
I’m working on a project, and python script to work with it has been written on python3. My host machine uses python2.7. My question is how to install the python3 script without requirement of python3 in the host machine?
So that it’s running on my host machine
A:
You don’t have to install Python 3 just to run a script. Use virtualenv to create a Python 3 environment so you don’t mess up your Python 2 installation.
that even then, it would be awhile before its full potential could be realized. As for us, while there is a definite sense of unfinished business, it has been replaced by an ever-increasing realization of all that we are not.

Markup Assist, which identifies problematic elements in your drawings, and recommends improvements, has been improved to further speed up design workflows. (video: 2:29 min.)
Approach and Repositioned Primitives:
Tighten the connection between your design intent and your drawings by using Approach and Repositioned Primitives. Approach is a powerful tool that makes it easier to place components into your drawings accurately, so you don’t have to chase down your sketches to make sure the parts fit. When you see a component in a drawing, you can use the approach to center it on the paper. You can use the Repositioned Primitives tool to reposition the part in your drawing, so that it corresponds to your paper.
Although this functionality is available in most tools in the Navigation panel, the Approach and Repositioned Primitives tools add a dynamic to your design. They make it possible to instantly create more accurate designs.
Camera Easel Pan and Zoom:
Move your drawing with your computer screen. Now, when you want to pan or zoom, you can do so quickly without changing the center of your drawing view. This will enable you to zoom into or out of the details in your drawings quickly.
Arrow Push and Pull:
Push and pull for elements. With Arrow Push and Pull, you can quickly adjust the position of objects in your drawing and copy/move/resize parts. You can drag a section of the drawing with just a single click. (video: 2:13 min.)
Technical improvements to the Sketch workflow:
New and improved Sketch tools:
Sketch, which lets you create templates and automatically place them in your drawing, now incorporates a new release cycle.
Sketch lets you import designs from other apps and use an intuitive drawing board to create unique, custom design templates. You can add additional features to your design templates, such as inserting a camera snap, and you can export your custom designs to PDF. You can also export your custom designs in other formats, such as STL or DWG.
Dynamic Design View:
You can take a close-up view of your drawing by using the new Dynamic Design View. You can switch to this mode from the View menu and you can toggle the view with a single button press.
The redesigned Dynamic Design View displays all viewports in one large, side-by-side view. This improves how you view
