Stand-alone 3D packages
While AutoCAD LT is the main 3D program in AutoCAD, it is becoming more and more obvious that the market is moving towards standalone 3D CAD packages. The main 3D CAD packages are:

In contemporary semiconductor device fabrication processes, a large number of semiconductor devices, such as transistors, are fabricated on a single wafer. Some non-limiting examples of these transistors include field effect transistors (FETs), such as metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) field effect transistors. It is often desirable to selectively form these transistors in the same semiconductor substrate. To provide separation or isolation between these transistors, it is often necessary to form structures, such as shallow trench isolation (STI) regions, that laterally isolate the transistors.
In one example, shallow trench isolation (STI) regions are often formed in a substrate, for example, in the front-end-of-line (FEOL) region of a wafer, by etching trenches into the substrate and filling the trenches with an insulating material, such as silicon dioxide. To ensure the trenches are uniformly formed across the substrate, it is desirable to form uniform trench shapes in the substrate. However, as the width of the trenches decrease, forming trenches in the substrate becomes increasingly difficult. This is because as the trenches are formed in the substrate, thinning of the substrate may occur in the regions between the trenches. This thinning of the substrate may occur in the regions between the trenches, and may eventually cause the substrate to break during the formation of the trenches. As such, in conventional fabrication processes it is difficult to form uniform trenches having very small widths.
