Description
Java Dial-up Networking (JDUN) is a Java application that provides a Java DUN (dial-up networking) interface for Windows.
JDUN allows you to easily connect to a phone network such as a regular modem, or using the Windows RAS (remote access services) provided by Windows 2000, XP or 2003. All you need is the JDUN application installed on your computer, and you will be able to dial incoming phone calls.
JDUN uses the standard DUN routing protocols to connect to remote access services such as a modem or Windows RAS using standard DUN phonebook entries. By using DUN routing protocols, JDUN provides a Java application interface to Microsoft RAS applications.
JDUN can be used to connect to any type of connection provided through the Windows operating system. This includes modem, serial, parallel, Ethernet, broadband, VBR (variable bit rate), and VPN.
Additionally, you can now embed a Java Remote Access Services (JRAS) front-end into your application, allowing you to connect to a remote access server (such as a modem or a Windows RAS server)
Features
Use Microsoft RAS connections such as modem or dial-up modem
Use standard Windows DUN phonebook to make remote connections
Create RAS objects with JDUN
Assemblies Required to Run JDUN

JDUN (Java Dial-up Networking) is a Java implementation of the Windows Dial-Up Networking API that enables Java applications to dial-up other clients on a local or remote dial-up connection. This includes dialing modem, serial, parallel, internet, VPN, and other connections. JDUN makes the connection, collects the data, and sends it to the destination application. It requires no server software other than the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
Requirements:
JDUN requires that the Java runtime environment (JRE) is already installed and that you have access to the CD that contains the JDUN package. JDUN can be downloaded as an installer from
