## Importing Photo Images
Photoshop provides two ways of opening and importing an image: by using a camera, which is a no-brainer, and by attaching a file from a hard drive, USB flash drive, or other external device, which is also easy to do. The first step in importing an image is to open Photoshop. If you open an image that’s been attached to an e-mail in Photoshop Elements, it will automatically create a new document and open it in Photoshop. For this reason, there’s not much to do except click Open if you’re opening an image from an e-mail.
As a beginner, there are 4 main tools which you will learn about in this article:
Scratchboard, a tool for drawing and painting
Quick Fix, a tool for minor changes
Layers, a tool for managing your image and organizing it for edits
Crop tool, a tool for cropping
To use these tools, you will be editing images on a computer with a mouse and a keyboard.
Adobe Photoshop Elements is designed to be a full-featured photo editing program. It has many features which professional photographers use every day, including:
15+ editing tools
Colour management, including basic color matching and saturation
Merge, crop, and straighten
Cloning, stamping, and tracing
User-friendly image previews
Editing, cropping, and organizing photos for online sharing
Photoshop is a very robust tool for designing layouts, building websites, and launching interactive projects. When you start learning Photoshop, you will be using a tool set for designing graphics and creating websites.
The following tools will be explained:
Painting tools, such as Scratchboard, paintbrush, and paint bucket
Paint tools, such as airbrush, canvas, chalk, and colour picker
Text tools, such as type, text box, and ruler
In addition to these tools, the process of basic editing will be explained. This process is the basis for building your skill set and using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Basic editing is essential for starting your journey towards being an advanced photo editor.
Each tool will be explained in more detail below:
With the Scratchboard you are drawing on an image, making changes to the layer structure of the image, and saving and sharing the image.
Drawing lines on an image is called drawing.
You can use the Scratchboard to draw lines with the paintbrush tool, or paint with the airbrush. You can also use the paint bucket or paint can tool to paint any shape on the image.

Archive for the ‘Events’ Category
By now, you’re probably tired of seeing event announcements and updates, but fear not, they are all in the new ‘Upcoming Events’ tab at the top left of the site. If you’ve previously sent us information for your events, they will all be in your record. And if you have not, please join the Bumble and Poke mailing list to have your events added, and you’ll automatically be signed up to all future events.

Current high-throughput sequencing technologies are limited by difficulties associated with manufacture of the necessary hardware and software. The ability to simultaneously sequence the vast majority of a given bacterial genome (35 million bases or more) at once will enable new disease diagnostics and epidemiological studies, as well as providing novel insights into genome organization and evolution. This new platform will replace previous Sanger sequencing and capillary electrophoresis-based sequencing technologies. The specific aims of the proposal are to: 1) develop a continuous-flow DNA sequencing system capable of generating the simultaneous sequence of up to 40 samples (e.g., 10 samples at 10 million read depth each) simultaneously on a single chip; 2) develop software algorithms for optimal use of the parallelization afforded by this technology; and 3) develop a flow cell incorporating the optical components necessary to mate
How do I get a button to stay “in-view” on my page?
The first image on this page shows what I’m looking for, but obviously the button doesn’t stay in-view when you scroll down the page.
I have the button inline in its div tag:
My Cool Button
and the CSS looks like this:
-webkit-transition: all.35s ease-in-out;
-moz-transition: all.35s ease-in-out;
transition: all.35s ease-in-out;
I also tried adding z-index: 1001; to the button itself, but that didn’t work either. It still pops down when I scroll down the page.
Add position: fixed; to your button
How do I clear the history of my Stack Exchange account?
I am in a situation where I have been asked for a number of things I cannot get access to anymore. The answers are stored in a Stack Exchange account (the email address which I used is associated with that account), so I cannot give that out, since it is the only account I have.
How can I remove all the answers I have posted and deleted from Stack Exchange?
Can I have a list of my questions?
It looks like you’ll need to contact Stack Exchange directly.
Click the Settings cog in the upper right, and then scroll down to “history.” Below that, you’ll find a link to logout.
