Q:
How to keep the session data when a page is closed or navigated to another page
I am using.Net 4.0
I am using System.Web.SessionState.SessionStateModule
The session state is working fine for me but I am facing one issue..
When a particular page is loaded the state is saved and if another page is navigated to that session state data is lost..
The current solution I am using is to maintain a static object when the page is loaded and copy the data in to that static object..
I want to know anyother way of keeping the session state data?

Go to C:\Windows\System32 and download the “TabCreator.exe”. Unzip to your C:\.Â
Run “TabCreator” with administrator rights, it will launch a new console window.Â
Here you can add new applications (ie: Pidgin, Google Chrome).Â
You can also re-arrange your applications in the left column.Â
And delete applications to free up space.Â
Click on the “Startbutton” to bring up the Windows Home Server console.Â
Now go to “Server” -> “Configure Server” -> “All Tabs”Â
Next click on “Add New Tab”Â
And then give your TabCreator a new name.Â
Now you can enter the startup settings for your new application (ie: Pidgin).Â
Go to the top of the window and click on “Save Changes”Â
Navigate to and double click on “TabCreator”.exe.Â
You will now be taken back to the new tab in the Windows Home Server Console.Â
Now search for Pidgin and click on “OK”Â
Now your Pidgin will launch in its own tab.Â
To close Pidgin, click on “X” on the top of the tab.Â

An alternative is to download, extract and run the feature named “Windows Home Server” (this is available on the Windows Server 2012 Disk Image that came with your server box).
On that page, there are instructions on how to install the software. (As I recall, they were at the bottom of the page)
You can also find instructions on how to use it here:
Then simply browse to your server box’s C: drive, and launch the console there.
You will find a link to the “Tab Creator” application on the Home tab.
Add items to your home tab as you would normally, and they

Installation:
There are pre-made executable files in C:\Program Files\TabCreator.
If you wish to install from the source code, then you need to download the source code and compile the application. When you are done with the installation you can find the executable file in the same directory. It is named TabCreator.exe.
If you want to install to a different directory, you need to modify the application’s config file. You can find it in the directory where you installed the application. You can find it in TabCreator\x.cfg, where x is the application’s version.
If you intend to add multiple versions of the same application, you can find all the versions of TabCreator in TabCreator\*.
The source code is packaged in a zip file named TabCreator.zip. The latest version is 1.0.0.
There are several versions of TabCreator, depending on the application, only one version should be used.
