Most people find that they do better at creating and reworking an image if they’re organized. Photoshop has many tools and features that help you organize your images and your work efficiently. Not only does this benefit you and your work, but it’s important to be organized so you can refer to important tools quickly when you need them.
The following sections describe what you can do to stay organized:
* **Laying out your images:** You can either import existing files and work with them as one would work with a real film strip, or you can create a new empty file and start from scratch. Many people find that it’s easier to start with a new file, as you can build your file from scratch.
* **Working with templates:** Templates come in two forms: presets and frames. A preset is like a part of the image that you can copy and apply to other images. A frame is a selection that becomes a new, independent layer.
* **Working with workspaces:** A workspace enables you to save and load your own personal preference settings for working with files
Before we go over the basics of using Photoshop, a couple of things you should know about Photoshop Elements. First, Elements is a totally free, non-commercial software – you don’t have to buy it to use it, and there are no advertisements to watch on the computer screen. Just as with any other free software, however, there are some limitations.
Elements comes in two versions – Basic and Standard. The Basic version is a stripped-down version of Photoshop Elements and is suitable for learning to use. The Standard version is more powerful and provides a lot more features, but it is a much more complicated application to learn.
If you are a professional photographer, find a local user group or Adobe’s online community to learn from and get tips from.
Another great place for free help is Reddit. There are many tutorials there on almost every aspect of graphic design and photography. You should also check out Photoshop threads on this site and Twitter.
1. Photoshop Elements Background Process
1-1-1 – Click on ‘File’ then go to ‘Open’. In the ‘File Type’ section, click on the third option – ‘Open’. In the next page, just below the image area click on ‘Open’.
If you don’t have the latest update, you may see a pop-up asking if you want to update your program. Click on ‘Yes’. This will now open the new window.
If you don’t see the ‘File type’, ‘Save as’, ‘Image controls’ and ‘Open in Photoshop’ areas on the top of the window, click on ‘Window’ – ‘Preferences’, then ‘General’, then ‘Adobe Photoshop Elements’. The settings will be saved.
1-1-2 – Click on the ‘File’ tab then click on ‘Open’. Click on the ‘File’ tab again then click on ‘Save’. Click on ‘File’ and then click on ‘Save As…’ – a window will open up for you to save your image.

The present invention relates generally to a toner cartridge assembly for use with a toner cartridge receiving section, that is, a toner supply chamber, of an image forming apparatus that uses an electrophotographic printing technique. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a toner cartridge assembly, of the type described, which is small in size, light in weight, and thereby usable with an image forming apparatus having a simplified mechanism.
In general, an image forming apparatus using an electrophotographic printing technique, such as a copying machine, a facsimile machine, a printer, or a multi-functional machine including these functions, includes an apparatus body that defines a relatively small space therein as a toner supply chamber and a toner discharge chamber. In this space, a toner hopper is arranged above the toner discharge chamber, and a toner auger is provided for supplying toner from the toner hopper to a developing device. The toner cartridge receiving section is formed by integrally assembling various components including the toner hopper, the toner auger, and a developing device. In general, the toner cartridge is provided with a toner cartridge body, and a toner supply chamber and a toner discharge chamber are defined by an inside of the toner cartridge body. The toner supply chamber communicates with the toner discharge chamber via a toner discharge port in the toner cartridge.
Here, the toner cartridge is detachably received in the toner cartridge receiving section, and the toner discharge port communicates with the toner discharge chamber of the toner cartridge receiving section. The toner auger is rotatably supported by a bottom wall of the toner supply chamber of the toner cartridge in a manner such that the toner auger is rotated along an arrow-shaped locus of rotation and between the toner supply chamber and the toner discharge chamber. The toner is discharged from the toner discharge chamber of the toner cartridge receiving section to the toner discharge chamber of the toner cartridge via the toner discharge port in accordance with rotation of the toner auger.
Further, the toner cartridge body has a function of preventing an unwanted situation wherein a part of the toner cartridge body and another part of the toner cartridge body are detached and one of the toner cartridge receiving section and the toner cartridge is separated from the other of these parts.
