    VS 2015 Shows wrong underlying directory path when debugging ASP.NET 5 Application

    I have a project which suddenly started to show an annoying behaviour. Even though a.sln file is there and no other problems are found, only the project name is shown before the path.
    Tried to re-install VS 2015 multiple times and to clean and re-clone the project, but nothing helps.
    The weird part is, that if I load a Default.aspx page in that VS2015 project and start debugging, everything is fine – the debugger recognizes the whole path before the.sln.
    Any ideas?

    This is a known issue with.Net 5 Debugging. I’ve seen it happen on both desktop and client projects.
    The solution is to shut the project down and open a new solution in either Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
