AutoCAD® (Autodesk®) is a cross-platform, multi-user CAD software application for personal computer (PC) users. It provides a comprehensive set of design tools that allow you to create complex, detailed drawings and models. Its user interface is similar to that of many other commercially available programs.
As of version 2017, AutoCAD runs on Windows, Linux and macOS. AutoCAD LT is available for use on Windows only. AutoCAD 2018 is a major update of AutoCAD 2017 and includes the following new features:
Powerful editing tools for precision drawing and editing.
Support for a variety of 2D and 3D formats.
Enhanced utility and model navigation tools.
New tools for creating 2D drawings, such as CAD text.
A new vector drawing and rendering engine for enhanced performance and quality.
2D drafting: To create and modify simple 2D drawings, use the 2D drafting tools. 2D drafting includes two main tools:
Drawing view: Used for creating and editing 2D drawings. Drawings displayed in the Drawing View are called drawing view drawings (or 2D drawings). Drawings can be either hard-copy or soft-copy. Drawing View drawings can be saved as soft-copy for printing (soft-copies), hard-copy or archival (hard-copies). The Drawing View is based on the ribbon and button layout of the Microsoft® Windows® operating system.
Used for creating and editing 2D drawings. Drawings displayed in the Drawing View are called drawing view drawings (or 2D drawings). Drawings can be either hard-copy or soft-copy. Drawing View drawings can be saved as soft-copy for printing (soft-copies), hard-copy or archival (hard-copies). Block tools: The Block tools allow you to create blocks and automatically link them together using a router.
AutoCAD is available in a variety of ways. It can be run as an application or directly from the Windows start menu. In addition, AutoCAD can be accessed by sharing the drawing file over a network. AutoCAD can also be accessed via the Internet, and by using a web browser to access a remote connection. AutoCAD can be operated by a keyboard, a mouse, and/or the Touch Screen.
Autodesk also offers a software-as-a-service (SaaS) version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD 360, which does not require any local installation of the application.
The principal product in the AutoCAD product line is the software package for creation and editing of 2D and 3D drawings. According to Autodesk, the current version of AutoCAD is “the product that architects and engineers have used for more than two decades to create precise, accurate drawings of conceptual designs, as well as to produce highly detailed, fully finished architectural and engineering drawings”.
Traditionally, AutoCAD was a CAD (computer aided design) system, capable of creating and editing 2D and 3D drawings. The term CAD broadly describes a broad category of integrated design software, including but not limited to CAD toolsets. CAD toolsets may include but are not limited to drafting and modelling tools. A CAD toolset is a set of software applications, tools and functions designed to support the design process. A CAD toolset may be provided as part of a CAD system or may be provided in its own separate package. CAD toolsets may be for creating 2D drawings, 3D models or both.
In the recent past, a number of firms marketed their own branded CAD toolsets, including Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Cimatron, Dassault Systèmes, Assembla, UGS, Inventor, ObjectARX, Progress Software, Revell, Rhino, SolidWorks, SynchroTec, Vectorworks, X-Part Design, Grasshopper, SynchroDetail, Grasshopper, SDRC, OnShape, etc. Many of these systems now use third-party publishing formats (DGN, DXF, IES, SLD, etc.).
Others market more generic packages, including 2D CAD, CAD Design, Civil 3D, Mobile Design, eCAD, and others. Some of these are not Autodesk products but are

Insert it in the viewport, and use the move tool to position it.
In Edit Mode, select all vertices.
In Object menu, in Polygons panel, in the Segments & Rings panel, in the Rings panel, use the Generate Segments command to generate new segments and set their color as Gradient.
Go to Object menu, in Align panel, and set to UV projection mode.
In Object menu, in the Materials panel, in the Fill panel, use the Gradient fill option to fill the vertices with the gradient.
In Object menu, in the Materials panel, in the Stroke panel, create a new stroke of any thickness, set the color to White, and set the Opacity to 100%.
Use the Scale tool to scale down the stroke to 0.
In Object menu, in the Edges panel, in the Segments & Rings panel, use the Taper option to add softness to the edges of the new segments.
Use the Group option to group all new segments.
Use the Move tool to move the group out of the viewport.
In the viewport, use the Rotate tool to rotate the group.

In these imaging modalities images of organs of the body are obtained. Especially in the medical field these images are an important aid to the diagnosis of diseases. The generated images are of high resolution and are composed of pixels with a small dimension of a few millimeters. Such pixels can have values that may be described as a number between 0 and 255.
The number of pixels in an image is not limited to the number of pixels of a single image only. A series of images showing a series of images of the same organ is called a volume. In this case all the images of the series are called slices. In order to make sure that the pixels of all the images of a volume are correctly combined, each image of the series has to be combined to a volume image.

Autodesk is increasingly working with leading third-party developers to integrate their products with AutoCAD.
As an example, AutoCAD can now create a 2D/3D cross section view from 3D solids and surfaces.
It can also automatically open files on Sketchup (including 3D models) for detailed annotations and editing.
You can also import file parts into Sketchup from your drawing.
The new DraftSight feature is designed to help you make faster, more accurate decisions when drawing with AutoCAD.
The feature now lets you instantly sync the draftable objects in your drawing with the objects in other files.
This includes files created with other CAD applications or designed for freeform or hand-drawn layout.

You can now view the DraftSight draft annotation against your drawing directly from your browser.
Get fast, customizable, and responsive cloning using the new Clone application.
With the Clone application, you can easily import, annotate, and edit your own drawing files.
You can also quickly clone blocks or any other predefined part by searching for it.
Clone can now be accessed from the navigation bar and side panel of the command line.
Support for creating n-dimensional (nD) models has been added to Cimatron, allowing you to better plan and build models of parts, including custom assemblies.
Additionally, you can export 3D models from your drawing as PNG, STL, or IFC files.
